A great place to spend a Friday night during the holidays. A cozy Italian spot with a great ambiance and friendly staff. The service was great and everything was fresh and delicious. We tried the calamari, lobster ravioli and the special pan seared chicken over linguine. It was all cooked to perfection, good portion size and great tasting sauce with each dish. We will definitely be back to support this family run restaurant!

We have been going there for years. It’s been a while. Our family flew up from Florida and we had my son‘s birthday party there they made it very special. If I could leave 10 stars, I would the greens and beans, and many of the other appetizers we had the clams were amazing. I loved the garlic broth. It was just awesome to dip the bread in. It’s so nice to see your family run business. I’ve known the family for years when they were on Pearl Street as well this is true authentic Italian food. It’s worth every minute when they’re busy to get your meal good things come to those who wait we will always be faithful. Thank you for working hard to make Gianni‘s birthday so special. I’ve been here a few times so far in the last cpl weeks. I love the new bar and the cocktails have been wonderful! The staff are warm and welcoming and knowledgeable! The chef is accommodating and delightful! I loved the shrimp scampi. You can’t go wrong with the house filled cannolis and an espresso martini for desert.

The food was delicious, the service was kind, the atmosphere was nice, and the bathroom was warm and toasty! I'll definitely return and bring others with me!

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Cafe Calabria in October. We rented out the upstairs room and had Sandra as our server. Everything was amazing. The food was great, the service was great, and the room was cozy. We had 36 people, and chose to do chicken parmesan and eggplant parmesan, with salad, rolls and pasta. We had bruschetta as our appetizer and chocolate mousse cake as our dessert. We got so many compliments on the food and venue choice. Sandra was kind, quick, helpful, and patient. She worked hard to make sure every single guest was taken care of. Danielle and Mike helped us plan our event and made sure that we had everything we needed when we came in for our event. Not only is it a restaurant with great food, but also great people and service. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Food portions are so big. 1 meal could be enough for 2 person. We couldn't finish our Piccata and alla Panna. They are delicious indeed. Clams Casino is a great appettizer. I tasted it the first time and love it! Wine was okay.

So my Sister was in search of a place to celebrate her Birthday. She had been to a few spots and we ended up here. It was about 16 of us. All ladies! They set us up upstairs we had our own space. I arrived first and was greeted with a smile and a huge welcome. The owner Sandra Amazing! Food was outstanding! I actually created my own dish. Penne pasta, with shrimp, spinach and vodka sauce! So good. We played a few games and we even included our waitress! What a time we had! Of and by the way there was a Bluetooth available for us to utilize as well. Highly recommended!!!

A very good friend of mine suggested I visit this restaurant during my trip to Albany and I can say I have no regrets!! The staff was very polite and welcoming. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing.... But the real reason for writing this review is to say that the dishes served are amazing! Looking around, I witnessed people savoring every bite and found myself doing the same thing. I ordered the clams over linguine in a white wine sauce. Absolutely one of the best Italian dishes I’ve ever had. The portion was very generous and price was very reasonable. The next time I’m in Albany, I know without a doubt I’ll visit Cafe Calabria again. Thanks to the owners and staff for a great dining experience!!!
